At Standish, we believe the search for value should drive the investment process as value is most often realized when supported by both fundamental and technical factors. Our conservative approach focuses on the efficiency, liquidity and high quality of the agency pass-through market to express views on systematic risk, term structure and interest rate volatility as potential sources of return. Our goal is to take advantage of structural inefficiencies in financing mortgage TBAs and exploiting mispriced optionality by utilizing the specified pool market. Drawing form a variety of prepayment and valuation models to asses value, we look to minimize "Model Myopia."
